Compared with 2013, the operating fleet grew by 5 reactors. 5 reactors were connected to the grid that year, 4,744 MWe, mostly in China (3), Argentina (1) and Russia (1). 1 unit was permanently shut down, 605 MWe. The countries with the most operating capacity were United States (99,629 MWe), France (63,178 MWe) and Japan (44,019 MWe).
