The world's nuclear fleet in 1975
In 1975, 169 nuclear reactors were operating in 20 countries, 70.1 GWe net, with 171 under construction. 7 of those units are not included in the net capacity because no net figure has been published for them.
Compared with 1974, the operating fleet grew by 23 reactors. 15 reactors were connected to the grid that year, 10,510 MWe, mostly in United States (6), Belgium (2) and Japan (2). The countries with the most operating capacity were United States (37,641 MWe), Japan (5,006 MWe) and United Kingdom (4,485 MWe).
