The world's nuclear fleet in 1975

In 1975, 174 nuclear reactors were operating in 21 countries, 69.9 GWe net, with 172 under construction.

Compared with 1974, the operating fleet grew by 22 reactors. 15 reactors were connected to the grid that year, 10,510 MWe, mostly in United States (6), Belgium (2) and Japan (2). The countries with the most operating capacity were United States (37,669 MWe), Japan (5,006 MWe) and United Kingdom (4,515 MWe).
