The world's nuclear fleet in 2012
In 2012, 435 nuclear reactors were operating in 31 countries, 374.1 GWe net, with 65 under construction.
The operating fleet was the same size as in 2011. 3 reactors were connected to the grid that year, 2,980 MWe: Ningde 1-1 (China), Shin-Kori 2 (South Korea) and Shin-Wolsong 1 (South Korea). 3 units were permanently shut down, 1,342 MWe. The countries with the most operating capacity were United States (103,782 MWe), France (63,130 MWe) and Japan (44,461 MWe).
