Per-unit readings come from ten primary sources — the NRC (United States), JAIF (Japan), IESO (Canada), Elexon BMRS (United Kingdom), CAMMESA (Argentina), KHNP (South Korea), Vattenfall (Sweden), ONS (Brazil), the Central Electricity Authority (India) and Rosenergoatom (Russia) — matched against the installed capacity in Reactor Atlas's dataset. Russia publishes the last reported movement per unit and India starts from an exceptions report, so a unit missing from that report is taken as operating.
France is followed through RTE eCO2mix and EDF press releases; the rest of the ENTSO-E zone, through the unavailability notices its operators file with the Transparency Platform.
Cadence depends on the source: minutes for CAMMESA, KHNP and Vattenfall; hourly for Elexon, IESO and ENTSO-E; a daily report for the NRC, ONS, the Central Electricity Authority and Rosenergoatom; JAIF publishes a new table monthly. This page recalculates every 15 minutes, and a unit missing from its source's latest report is shown as no data, never as operating.
