Each curve represents a relationship documented in public sources, not a contract. Curves have a uniform width, with no volume scale.

Capacity and demand

How much activity each link can deliver while it is running, and how many weeks a year it runs. Every figure carries its year and the document that publishes it; the bar compares it with world demand.

measured projected World demand
What is a 6-day curie?

It is the activity molybdenum-99 still has six days after leaving the processing plant. Because Mo-99 loses half its activity every 66 hours, the sector measures what reaches the hospital rather than what leaves the reactor. Figures are only comparable within this unit, and it applies to Mo-99 only: I-131 and Lu-177 are measured per cycle or per month.

A long bar does not mean secured supply: most reactors irradiate only part of the year and the product is not stockpiled, so what was not irradiated this week is not recovered.

Supply status by region

Derived from the reactors and processors documented as suppliers of each region. Amber: a current unplanned or extended outage at a reactor or processor serving it. Red: a shortage notice from an authority or the sector's emergency channel in the last fourteen days.
