Shidao Bay

Shidao Bay, nuclear power plant in China, operates 3 reactors: 1 high-temperature gas and 2 pressurized water with 3,218 MW net installed capacity and has been in service since 2023.

It is the only plant in China running HTGR technology. Shidao Bay 3-1 is under construction, with grid connection expected in 2029. Its 3,218 MW net are enough to supply about 10,100,000 households.
