CANDU 6

Canada's 700 MWe single-unit export design: Embalse in Argentina is one of them.

The CANDU 6 is the single-unit version of the Canadian design, with 380 horizontal channels, natural uranium and on-power refueling. It was exported to Argentina, South Korea, Romania and China, and operates at Point Lepreau and Gentilly in Canada.

Embalse, in Córdoba, has operated since 1984 and was refurbished between 2016 and 2019 for 30 more years, with all 380 pressure tubes replaced. Cernavodă 1 and 2 in Romania and Qinshan III in China are the other active CANDU 6 units; Wolsong 1 in Korea closed in 2019.
