METHODOLOGY

From fragmented sources to a connected perspective.

Nuclear information carries context that a spreadsheet alone cannot capture. Our work brings together technical meaning, time and provenance across a changing sector.

  1. 01
    Public sources

    Institutions · regulators · operators

  2. 02
    Facilities and events

Explore by country, technology and status.

  3. 03
    Sourced information

Every fact, with its source and date.

A conceptual view of how published information becomes a connected research experience.
WHERE WE ADD VALUE

The complexity behind a clear view.

The difficult part is not finding a number. It is understanding what it describes, when it applies and how it relates to the rest of the sector.

01

Identity across a changing industry

Facilities change names. Organizations operate across borders. A site can contain several units with different histories. We organize those relationships so that comparisons start with the right entities.

02

Time is more than a publication date

First criticality, connection to the grid and commercial operation describe different milestones. Announcements, effective dates and subsequent revisions must be read in their own context.

03

Technical meaning before comparison

Net and gross electrical capacity are not interchangeable. Neither are electrical and thermal power, material mass and waste volume, or national inventories and facility-level observations. Meaning travels with the measurement.

04

Reconciling different accounts

Authoritative sources can describe the same subject differently. Our work includes source assessment, consistency checks and documented editorial adjustments, including overrides where justified. Source observations remain attributable; an adjustment does not turn our interpretation into an official statement.

05

Events within their context

An operational notice, a regulatory decision and a company announcement answer different questions. Linking publications to facilities and organizations makes those distinctions easier to explore.

06

Provenance through interpretation

Original references remain essential when information is organized, summarized or translated. We distinguish source-reported material from our own presentation and interpretations, and review substantiated corrections.

Our methods guide how information is organized; the original sources remain essential for decisions requiring authoritative evidence.
