BN-600 and BN-800

Beloyarsk's BN-600 has operated since 1980 and is the fast reactor with the most operating hours in the world, despite dozens of sodium leaks in its early years. The BN-800, from 2016, is its successor: 880 MWe gross, MOX fuel with weapons-grade plutonium from disarmament, and the basis for closing the Russian fuel cycle.

Rosatom is designing the BN-1200, still without a firm date, and in parallel is building the lead-cooled BREST-OD-300 at Seversk.
