GHARR-1
GHARR-1, a research reactor (tank) in Accra, Ghana, with 34 kW of thermal power, operated by Ghana Atomic Energy Commission. Operating, first critical in 1994.
It is the only research reactor in Ghana. It is one of 36 tank-type reactors operating worldwide, spread across 23 countries. Its declared uses include teaching, training and activation analysis. It has been 32 years since its first criticality.
