THOR

THOR, a research reactor (tRIGA) in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, with 2 MW of thermal power, operated by Nuclear Science and Technology Development Centre. Operating, first critical in 1961.

It is the only research reactor operating in Taiwan today; the country has shut down 5 others. It was the first research reactor in Taiwan to go critical and is still operating 65 years later. It is one of 36 TRIGA reactors operating worldwide, spread across 17 countries. It is one of 65 research reactors in 20 countries that General Atomics designed or built.
