Dhruva
Dhruva, a research reactor (heavy water) in Mumbai, India, with 100 MW of thermal power, operated by BARC, Reactor Operations Division. Operating, first critical in 1985.
It is the most powerful research reactor in India, of the 5 currently operating. It went critical 29 years after the first research reactor in India, Apsara (1956). It is one of 10 heavy-water research reactors operating worldwide, spread across 7 countries. Its declared uses include isotope production, neutron scattering, neutron radiography and teaching.
