ETRR-2
ETRR-2, a research reactor (pool) in Inshas, Egypt, with 22 MW of thermal power, operated by Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA). Operating, first critical in 1997.
It is the most powerful research reactor in Egypt, of the 2 currently operating. It went critical 36 years after the first research reactor in Egypt, ETRR-1 (1961). It is one of 48 pool-type reactors operating worldwide, spread across 28 countries. It is one of 9 research reactors in 7 countries that INVAP designed or built.
