IAN-R1
IAN-R1, a research reactor (tRIGA) in Bogota, Colombia, with 30 kW of thermal power, operated by Instituto Colombiano de Geología y Minería-INGEOMINAS. Operating, first critical in 1965.
It is the only research reactor in Colombia. It is one of 36 TRIGA reactors operating worldwide, spread across 17 countries. It is one of 65 research reactors in 20 countries that General Atomics designed or built. Its declared uses include teaching, training, activation analysis and geochronology.
