HFETR
HFETR, a research reactor (tank) in Chengdu, China, with 125 MW of thermal power, operated by Nuclear Power Institute of China. Operating, first critical in 1979.
It is the most powerful research reactor in China, of the 18 currently operating. It went critical 21 years after the first research reactor in China, HWRR-II (1958). It is one of 36 tank-type reactors operating worldwide, spread across 23 countries. Its declared uses include isotope production, transmutation, gemstone irradiation and teaching.
